Eraserhood Sound has developed a unique, signature approach to scoring in the world of television and film. Their latest work can be seen in the new PBS KIDS program Carl The Collector.
The music of Carl The Collector features a wide range of influences, including soul, funk, jazz, Brazilian, boogie, New Wave, hip hop, and more. Each episode's score is written, performed, recorded, and mixed by Vincent John and Maxwell Perla at their studio in Philadelphia.
Zachariah OHora, the creator of Carl The Collector, requested a sophisticated, soulful sound for his show, and cited Eraserhood Sound's 2021 Ribelle Di Mare LP as a source of inspiration. Perla and John's subtle yet complex arrangements set the mood for every scene, all while maintaining an adventurous, thoughtful approach.
